The Church of England in the Parish of Knaresborough aims to present the Christian Gospel in such a way that it may be known and joyfully experienced by everyone.

The Knaresborough Benefice comprises five churches combined into a single parish: three village churches, St John the Baptist, Brearton, St Paul & St Margaret, Nidd, and St Mary the Virgin, Goldsborough, and two town churches, Holy Trinity and St. John's Parish Church.
